High Temperature Boards
Armil C.F.S. carries a wide range of ceramic fiber board, calcium silicate board, microporous silica board, vermiculite board, and fiber cement board for a variety of high temperature applications. Boards are classified as insulating boards or structural insulations. Insulating Boards are typically lower density products, with densities ranging from 12 pounds per cubic foot to 45 pounds per cubic foot. They can be used in applications exceeding 3200°F Products in this class consist of ceramic fiber boards (Duraboard LD, Duraboard HD, Duraboard 2600, Duraboard 3000, FC2300 HDX, SALI, AC 1700 and AC 1800) vermiculite boards (V-1100 375, V-1100 475), which can be used for either hotface or back up insulation, calcium silicate boards (Super Isol) and microporous silica boards, (Dynaguard, Mintherm) are very efficient insulations and are strictly used for back up applications. Applications for insulating boards include: Structural Insulations are higher density, higher strength products used in applications requiring high compressive and flexural strength. In many cases, structural insulations can be self supporting. Many structural insulations also offer excellent electrical (non-conducting) properties. Structural insulations are composed of high alumina boards (SG 70-130,), Calcium silicate boards (Marinite Boards, CS85) and Fiber cement boards(Transite HT, Transite 1000).
