ArmilCFS Fiberfrax Ceramic Fiber Papers

Fiberfrax Ceramic Fiber Papers

Armil/CFS ceramic fiber papers are light weight, flexible insulation products for applications up to 2600°F. Ceramic fiber papers have excellent chemical stability, resisting most corrosive elements. Exceptions are hydrofluoric and phosphoric acids, and concentrated alkalis.

Fiberfrax ceramic fiber papers consist primarily of an alumino-silicate fiber with a latex binder system. These papers are made using a paper-making process to form uniform, flexible sheets. The process includes blending different high purity fibers, organic binders, and additives while varying the manufacturing process.

Fiberfrax ceramic papers have excellent chemical stability. If Fiberfrax papers get wet, all thermal and physical properties are restored upon drying. Fiberfrax ceramic papers have great dielectric strengths. Fiberfrax papers will generate small amounts of smoke and trace element during the initial exposure to stoves with operating temperatures above 450°F.

Wide range of applications:

  • Refractory backup
  • Appliance insulation
  • Ware separator
  • Mold Wrap
  • Expansion joints
  • Thermal insulation material
