Insulfrax

Insulfrax is based on calcium, magnesium, silica chemistry and is capable of continuous operation to 2012°F. Insulfrax fiber chemistry has been combined with Unifrax’s proprietary fiber spinning technology to create Insulfrax S blanket, a high temperature bio-soluble blanket with excellent thermal and mechanical properties. Insulfrax S blankets offers both low thermal conductivity and excellent resistance to thermal shock. Insulfrax S blanket exhibits no smoke generation or outgassing while in service. Insulfrax blankets are needled to provide good handling strength. Insulfrax Papers, Boards, and Vacuum formed shapes are also available.
