Fiberfrax® Ceramic Fiber Papers

Armil CFS distributes Fiberfrax Paper, made from Fiberfrax alumino-silicate fiber with an added latex binder system. By blending different fibers, binders, and additives, a variety of high temperature papers are offered. All Fiberfrax papers are flexible, light weight insulations that can be used in high temperature applications, including refractory back up, high temperature gaskets and seals, expansion joints, heat shielding, and mold wraps.

High temperature papers that contain no ceramic fibers are also available.
Insulfrax paper, using Insulfrax Calcium, Magnesia, Silica fibers is available for temperature up to 1800°F. Isofrax paper, with a unique magnesia silica chemistry, is also available for use up to 2400°F.

Fiberfrax 970 Paper

Fiberfrax 970 paper is made from high purity washed ceramic fibers. Washed fiber minimizes unfiberized particles, resulting in a very uniform, thermally efficient paper. FIberfrax 970 has a temperature use limit of 2300°F.  Fiberfrax 970 paper is preferred for use in automatic, high volume stamping operations. FIberfrax 970 paper is available in 1/32, 1/16, and 1/8” thickness. Heat treated 972-H paper with binders burned out is also available.

Fiberfrax 550 Paper

Fiberfrax 550 paper is made from unwashed high purity ceramic fiber paper. Fiberfrax 550 paper a 2300°F product ideal for use in  most refractory applications.

550 paper is available in 1/16”. 1/8”, and 1/4” thickness

Fiberfrax 880 Paper

FIberfrax 880 paper is manufactured from higher alumina fibers to allow it to be classified as a 2600°F paper. FIberfrax 880 is often used in aerospace applications, as well as in molten glass applications . Fiberfrax 880 paper is available in 1/16” and 1/8” thickness, A heat treated version Fiberfras 882-H, is also available.

Fiberfrax Rollboard

Fiberfrax Rollboard is a lower cost utility grade paper for operating temperatures up to 2000°F. Fiberfrax Rollboard is excellent for refractory backup, mold wrap, and expansion gaskets. Foberfrax Rollboard is available in 1/8” thickness.

Insulfrax Paper

Insulfrax Paper is a 2000°F use paper that contains no ceramic fibers. Insulfrax fibers are laid with a latex binder to produce a lightweight, flexible insulation Insulfrax papers also resist molten aluminum.
