Insulfrax and Isofrax Non RCF Blankets

   

Armil CFS offers several alternatives to traditional ceramic fiber materials. Insulfrax® and Isofrax® are low biopersistence insulation materials that meet European regulatory requirements (Directive 97/69/EC) for man-made vitreous fibers.

Insulfrax is based on calcium, magnesium, silica chemistry and is capable of continuous operation to 2012°F.

Isofrax is based on a unique patented silica-magnesia chemistry and has a classification temperature of 2550°F.  Isofrax blankets are also needled to provide good handling strength. Isofrax meets European regulatory requirements. Isofrax products exhibit low thermal conductivity, excellent thermal stability and thermal shock resistance.

Both Insulfrax and Isofrax blankets have excellent chemical stability and are unaffected by most chemicals except hydrofluoric and phosphoric acids and concentrated alkalis.

Insulfrax S Blanket 

Insulfrax fiber chemistry has been combined with Unifrax’s proprietary fiber spinning technology to create Insulfrax S blanket, a high temperature bio-soluble blanket with excellent thermal and mechanical properties. Insulfrax S blankets offers both low thermal conductivity and excellent resistance to thermal shock. Insulfrax S blanket exhibits no smoke generation or outgassing while in service. Insulfrax blankets are needled to provide good handling strength. Insulfrax Papers, Boards, and Vacuum formed shapes are also available.

Isofrax®1400 Blanket

Isofrax 1400 blanket has a 2550°F classification temperature, and an be used at continuous temperatures up to 2370°F. Isofrax blankets are characterized by high temperature stability, low thermal conductivity with excellent resistance to thermal shock and . Isofrax blanket is commonly used in furnace and kiln linings, duct and flue linings, door seals, and high temperature gaskets. Isofrax blankets are available in 6pcf and 8 pcf densities,
